Frequently Asked Questions

  • I do not accept any insurance plans but would be more than happy to provide a “Superbill” for you to submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. I recommend calling your insurance prior to counseling to ask about your specific out of network insurance benefits.

  • Yes- 15 minutes. If you are running more than 15 minutes behind, send me an email and we can discuss options!

  • Fill out the new client form or email me at Allison@equipdallas.com and I will get back to you in 48 hours!

  • This varies based on your specific presenting concerns. Many clients begin therapy on a weekly basis and taper down. Overall, the frequency of sessions depends on your goals and how severe your issues are.

  • Sessions cancelled with less than 48-hours notice will be charged the full session fee. There is no charge for sessions cancelled with at least 48-hour notice prior to the scheduled appointment.

  • Currently, I am only utilizing tele-health but plan to return to in person services in late 2024!

  • I believe that everyone can benefit from therapy. Therapy can be used for a range of diverse issues and concerns. Whether you are feeling stuck, overwhelmed by emotions, more irritable or anxious than normal, or are going through a major life transition, therapy is for you!  

  • I do not prescribe medication but can refer you to a psychiatrist in the community who does. 

  • No, eating disorders impact individuals of all ages, but I only work with individuals who are over 18. If you are under 18 and need support, feel free to reach out and I can provide referrals to other specialists in the community! 

  • Reach out to me by filling out this form (if you can hyperlink that would be great). Within 48 hours of receiving the form, you will receive an email from me to set up a 15 minute free consultation. If you think we will be a good fit and you would like to move forward with scheduling an initial intake appointment! During the intake process, we will meet for an hour and further explore what is bringing you into therapy. 

  • My response time is typically within 24 hours except for emails received on the weekend. Emails sent over the weekend may not be received until Monday. In case of an emergency please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room. 

  • All payment is due at the time of service. Credit, debit, Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) and Flex Spending Accounts (FSAs) are accepted. We do not accept Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs) or insurance at this times but I am more than happy to provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement.
